Biographical Information

Governor Phil Bryant appointed Jim M. Greenlee to the Mississippi Court of Appeals January 20, 2016. He replaces Judge James D. Maxwell who was appointed a Supreme Court Justice.

He is the former United States Attorney for the Northern District of Mississippi. Greenlee is currently in private practice in Oxford. He practices white collar and criminal law, governmental enforcement and litigates in federal and state courts.

In 2001, President George W. Bush appointed him as a U.S. Attorney. He served in the U.S. Attorney’s office in Oxford for 22 years.

Judge Greenlee graduated from the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor of Engineering degree. He graduated from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 1981. He served in the United States Navy and the United States Navy Reserve.

Judge Greenlee is the son of the late Tom and Margaret Greenlee of Batesville. He is married to the former Ann Veazey, and they have two married daughters, Veazey Hillmer and Taylor Kilgore.
